Glen Park at Glendora is now looking for someone to join our team as a medication technician/Caregiver role!

Job Summary:
As a Caregiver/Medication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily needs of our residents in an Assisted Living Facility, providing medication administration, and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents in compliance with Title 22 regulations and physician instructions. Monitor residents' medication records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician/Administrator.
- Basic Care Assistance: Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
- Order and Reorder Medications: Ensure residents have timely access to medications by placing and tracking medication orders.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate, progressive documentation and regularly communicate with physicians and medical professionals.
- Resident Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate doctor’s appointments for residents as needed.
- Engagement and Support: Work with medical professionals to promote resident engagement, reduce pain, and maintain independence.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.
- Emergency Response: Stay composed and take appropriate action during emergencies.
- Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regard to reducing pain while promoting engagement and independence.
- Align performance with the facility’s Program Design.
- Complete specialized training for working with these residents.
- Achieve goals outlined in each resident's Individual Program Plan (IPP).
- Maintain detailed progress notes to track accomplishments of IPP objectives.
What We Require:
- Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance
- CPR/First Aide Certificate
- Negative TB Test and Health Screening
- Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing multiple residents.
