The Maintenance Grounds Worker / Driver is responsible for maintaining the facility’s buildings, grounds, and vehicles to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role also provides transportation services for residents to appointments, activities, and outings.

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform routine building maintenance (minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC checks).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and keep accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
  • Assist with room setup and furniture moving as needed.
🌳 Groundskeeping
  • Maintain walkways and parking areas.
  • Ensure outdoor areas are safe and visually appealing.
🚐 Resident Transportation
  • Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and facility outings.
  • Assist residents in and out of vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine vehicle inspections.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
🔐 Safety & Compliance
  • Monitor and report safety hazards immediately.
  • Follow infection control and emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous maintenance and/or groundskeeping experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles safely.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with seniors.
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Clear criminal background check (DOJ & FBI Live Scan)
  • TB clearance

Available shift:
